Visit at the New Production Facility: Vorwerk Presents President Macron with the Two-Millionth Thermomix® from its Franco-German Production Network
Donnemain-Saint-Mamès / Wuppertal, 29th May 2026 – Today, Vorwerk welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron to its Thermomix® production facility in Donnemain-Saint-Mamès, France which was opened in 2025. During the visit, Vorwerk presented President Macron with the two-millionth Thermomix® produced within the company’s integrated Franco-German manufacturing network. The visit highlights how Vorwerk combines German engineering excellence and manufacturing expertise in France for its continued international growth and European production strategy.
In his speech during his factory visit to Donnemain-Saint-Mamès, President Macron emphasized the strength of Franco-German cooperation in the face of intense international competition: “The example of Vorwerk shows that when modernisation is combined with efficient and competitive teams, it is possible to succeed. And it really gives us confidence that Europe can remain competitive in the global economy.”
Vorwerk has invested approximately €70 million in the new production facility in Donnemain-SaintMamès and an additional €60 million in the modernization of the existing site in Cloyes-sur-le-Loir. Together, the investments strengthen the close connection between the manufacturing sites in France and Wuppertal, Germany.
“Today is much more than the presentation of a milestone product,” said Dr. Thomas Rodemann, COO of Vorwerk, who gave President Macroan a tour of the production facilities. “It is a strong symbol of what European industrial cooperation can achieve when politics, administration and business work together in a pragmatic, reliable and solution-oriented way.”
Rodemann emphasized the strong cooperation with French authorities and institutions throughout the implementation process: “We experienced highly efficient and constructive collaboration at all levels. Projects of this scale require speed, trust and long-term commitment. France created exactly these conditions, and we are sincerely grateful for the support we received.”
The new production facility supports the global rollout of the Thermomix® TM7 – the most successful product launch in Vorwerk’s 143-year history. In 2025 alone, more than 1.4 million Thermomix® devices were sold worldwide, including more than 1 million TM7 units. Today, the Culinary division – including Thermomix®, Bimby® and Cookidoo® – accounts for around 59% of Vorwerk’s total business volume. This growth is driven not only by product innovation, but most of all by the unique strength of Vorwerk’s community and direct sales model, in which people share their enthusiasm for Thermomix® through personal experience.
Dr. Thomas Stoffmehl, CEO Vorwerk Group, who was unable to be in Donnemain during the President’s visit as he was honouring the world’s most successful Vorwerk advisors at the time, states: “Our investments in France reflect Vorwerk’s clear commitment to the Franco-German partnership, which for us is both a driver of long-term growth and a stabilizing factor for the European economy. Investments of this kind require trust – in reliable framework conditions and in an environment that supports industry and entrepreneurship. For companies like Vorwerk, a strong Europe with open borders and a robust single market therefore remains of crucial importance.”
As part of its continued expansion in France, Vorwerk also announced the construction of a new storage, bundling and packaging centre in La Chapelle-du-Noyer, representing an additional investment of approximately €30 million.
